    Congratulations Kylie, that is amazing!

Im not from Brisbane but i bought in the Armadale area of Perth back in 2003. It was all i could afford at the time and i had an aunt that lived in the area so i had a look around. yes it was and still is considered 'rough' and i think it has similar social stigma or outlook that people have of the Beenleigh area. However i dont regret it one bit, i made excellent gains and the area has so much redevelopment going on it has still got good potential.  I think even other better perceived suburbs have their good areas/streets and bad.

What im trying to say is, these areas are affordable and provided all the growth potential qualities are there they make for good investments. You just have to get past the general perception of low socio-economic areas.

    Kylie,

Well done on your achievements.  If you decide you would like to extend to pass your hand at mentoring, I would love to catch up for a coffee to hear about your strategies.

    Hey Mixed up,

I am looking at a new 4Br house in the Ipswich area for $310,000 with a tenant lined up renting for $300 p/wk. I am Sydney based and already own similar properties in Crestmead and Waterford West. These areas demand $340 p/wk rent and are seeing fantastic Cap growth. All my properties are managed by the same real estate agent and all my properties are sourced through the same company here in Sydney. I deal with one consultant and he takes care of everything. Happy to recommend him to you if you need some good advise. It costs nothing to talk.

New Zealand might soon be a good place to invest in. It is predicted that a huge crash is about to happen there. When this happens, there should be a great number of mortgagee auctions & mortgagee sales. There is a website in New Zealand specifically for this need. The website address is http://www.MortgageeAuctions.co.nz
