    Hi Guys,

I'm about to have a final inspection before settlement and just wanted to know whether it's better to connect on inspection day or settlement day. Days between inspection and settlement is less than 1 week

    Regards,
    Kenzel

all services will be on when you get there, just ring when you settle and let them know you are moving properties :)

    Hi kenzel,
I wouldn't count on the services still being connected when you get there. Sometimes they do actually turn them off.
I usually ring a least three days before for the gas and electricity to be changed in my name on settlement day.
The water is changed over by the solicitor/conveyancer at settlement, it doesn't get turned off at all.

    Hi All,

I really appreciate all the reponses. I've already called to get Gas and Electric connected on Settlement and was about to do the same for water until I saw dictem's response – thanks alot :) How silly would I have been!

    Cheers,
    Ken
