I bought an 2 yr old apartment, settling in mid Nov as well. Had a property inspection by ArchiCentre. It is good to have another pair of experienced eyes to check through the place, just to be sure and for that piece of mind. After all, it is only $440. A tiny expense considering the size of the loan.

Probably not if is brand new but just in case you still would like to get the inspection done. A cheaper option is to find building inspection service via yellow pages or google. Archicentre charge a premium for their service. We were looking for an interior designer to get the concept drawing done and the quote I got from Archicentre is $200 higher than the local one… in fact the designer would have been the one Archicentre would recommend.
