Hi,
The debate on whether the world temperature is rising has been answered for me anyway, I have a holiday house on an island off the coast of Brisbane and for the last 25 years I have been going to my house every holidays.
Summer can get hot and the nights very rarely use to be a problem sleeping, the last 5 years summers would have to have been the hottest nights I can remember on the island ( like a hothouse ).
Also we use to have lots of rain, in fact it was annoying from a holiday point of view, I have not seen the rain we use get for 10 years now. I worry for our children and I would like to see more done towards solar as I believe this is the way of the future for domestic use anyway.
Just my 2c worth.

You basing your conclusion on 5-10 years of temperatures? Hate to burst your buble but weather and temperature follows patterns, in case you hadnt noticed this isnt exactly the first time in the history of mankind we have had a drought, and it wont be the last….

I hope you are right, but isn’t prevention better than finding out when its too late. I would hate to think our children and grandchildren would look upon us as the ones that sat back and did nothing about it. If the weather is going crazy due to global warming, its not going to get fixed overnight, if we all do our bit together, even if its just getting a solar hot water system, or changing our light bulbs to energy saving ones, we can make a difference without hurting the back pocket .Don

I agree totally, but we should be all doing our bit anyway, not just because of some sensationalist scaremongering buy some ‘scientist’ looking for a government grant.
I agree we should all be doing our best to cut pollution, but it really anoys me when my intelligence is insulted by some crack pot scientist that tries to get me to follow the heard mentality without any conclusive prooof, or some joe off the street that knows no more than what he has been told. Kinda like the war in Iraq-we went to war because we were ‘told’ there were weapons of mass destruction…gee where are they??
