This has been discussed before and nothing has eventuated. Soooooo……..
Where to hold and when to hold ????.
TMA, is your new venture up and running and would you have a discussion group at your venue.??
I live at Beverly Hills and can travel easily.
Do we have any other suggestions of a place central to anybody, or several contibutors, who may like to attend.
Just to kick around ideas and not be too formal.
    Coffee, dinner, afternoon or evening.
    Cheers for now Len

    Hi Camder,

I am moving from Perth to Sydney this week and would be keen to join in on a Sydney discussion group. Can only make w/e or evenings though as I am a wage slave! Will be living in Wollstonecraft.

    Cheers

Unfortunately, I have pulled out of the new venture for now. It has been put on the back-burner and I have let the shop go. I am working on a few online ventures and specifically one with a good friend of mine which is taking up a lot of my time.

I think a quiet or struggling cafe would love to host a group of people. I for one would enjoy having food and drinks during the course of a casual get together. I am more than happy to travel to anywhere in Sydney for such a meeting. I love them!!!

    Greetings All,
My reputation for organising is equivalent to organising a 1st Grade **** fight and that did not go well!!! (**** is FOOD. not what you may have been thinking)
(la Porchetta, Cnr Marsden St(think), old church near Police Station)
Anyway I will be at “la Porchetta” Italian Restaurant at Parramatta on Thursday 28th July at 6.30 pm for a possible discussion group (if anybody else turns up) Or I could be there for a nice cup of coffee and a pizza (if nobody else turns up).
There is outside area under umbrellas and inside if it is cold.
I will be riding so will have a yellow helmet handy and Steve’s book for ID.(if it is “****ing down with rain, I will just have the book and no bike helmet.I may be ugly but not stupid!!
Agenda will be “no agenda” just like the forum , we will see what comes up (as the actress said to the bishop.)
Some interest from “Wentworthville, Merrylands, Beverly Hills and others who can travel so thought this may be a place to kick off and see where we go from here if anywhere!!
Munjy, as I have said –no agenda at this stage and Jaws1 sorry, a little away from Wolstonecraft.
Please, somebody come and lets not make this another 1st Grade **** fight disaster.
    Cheers for now
    Len

Well I hope someone turns up for you Camder. I would, but I’m a bit lazy when it comes to travel.Grew up in Parramatta but have spent the last 20 years steering clear of it.
However, if there is anyone down here in the Southern Highlands, NSW, that is interested in starting a discussion group locally, let me know.

    Cheers Enelis

6:30 PM may be a little early. Peak hour nightmares and trying to get there after work. What does everyone else think? A bit later maybe?

    Greetings All,

I will be there at 6.30 because that time suits me and I will stay till later anyway, but because the whole thing is, or should be, informal, who really minds what time you can make it.
No starting time /no finishing time , play it by ear and looking forward to meeting some .
    Cheers for now Len

    Hi all,

My partner and I were going to the meeting tonight, but he’s just rung to tell me his working late so will have to wait until the next meeting, so please accept my apologies.

    Until next time.

I must apologise for my lack of attendance last night. I hope everything went extremely well and I am disappointed with myself for not being able to get there.

I hope there is going to be further meetings (preferably at a later time or on the weekend) so a large bunch of us can make it without difficulty.

    Sorry!

    What a night!!

No, seriously, it was great meeting some of the people on the forum. Well done Len for getting the ball rolling.

One thing I will say though is that I note that 390 people have read this post but only 6 turned up…

Come on everyone, we can really create synergy and help each other in our various successes by making the effort to come along to these things.

Can I suggest we meet say once a month? I’m OS until the end of November, but would be really interested in the progress of the group.

Does anyone have suggestions on an agenda for the meetings? Maybe we can ask other groups in other cities what they do.
