Hi Dev
As a suggestion, if you seek a position in Real Estate Sales, target the geographical area you know, target the agents in that area with a prospecting letter, and a follow up personal visit. If you can do that effectively, and they are impressed with your presentation and persistence, and you have the product they want, they will know you have potential.
If the first result is not a strike, reload, and revisit 2 weeks later. Work more than one area at a time, it’s a numbers game. Success is then just a matter of time.

An average one will earn an average wage. The good ones will earn 100k+ even when the market is not going through a boom.
Paul TONICH in WA brought in about $1.2 Million last year and is on track to bring in about $1.5 this year..
I know several that make $80k+ , however, the general comments i hear from some is that 20% of the agents make 80% of the money.
Food for thought anyway..considering a “lollipop man” can make $90k a year (see Saturdays West Australian Newspaper).
I see the papers also say an average wage is about $50k p/year..
any thoughts?

I’m not a fan of the doorknocking approach- I reckon it just leads to disappointment- I’ve never met anyone who got a job in 2005 by walking business door to business door- sorry, crest- perhaps your experience is different. Same with just contacting one of the job broker companies- waste of time, in my opinion. when I say these approaches are a wAste of time, I mean that I believe they are the least effective ways to gain positions.
