    Hi All,

I went to a website learntoberich.com.au via a link on this website and ordered a free DVD of an intro seminar by Jamie McIntyre.

Jamie has some very interesting investment strategies using the share market and I am keen on learning more….unfortunately to do so involves purchasing his homestudy plan for $4,000.

I am quite keen to go ahead, and I’m sure that as Steve McKnight put the link on his website, this must be a genuine investment study guide and not just another scam.

However before forking out this sort of money, I just want to ask if any of you has done this Jamie McIntyre course before and if so, can I please have your feedback. (Yes the package I received with the free DVD has a lot of positive feedback, but you can’t blame me for not fully relying on them) Your personal feedback would give me a lot more confidence and a tool/guage to determine whether this course is worth the $4K.

Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you dont want to share your comments on this forum.

Much apreciated and thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    LTI

Thankyou – A very interesting read, and very timely too because I was prepared to go to Jamie’s 27th May seminar which is now cancelled due to court proceedings.

I havent read that whole thread but am under the impression that Steve McKnight is on Jamie’s side. He must be to have his link on this website.

I am unbiased and will keep an eye on this matter with interest.

Dam – Due to the current court proceedings, i cant’t buy his home study guided now either! :(

    Hi,

I have been doing seminar for 1 year now and its the best education you can get. Jamie explains the options market and simple everyday language that you can understand. After reading Jamie’s material i was no longer afraid of options. I then went and did further research and learned from ASX and spoke to the Brokers and was able to them in their language with option terminology. If i never seen Jamie’s course i would have never traded options as all my uncles etc would tell me options are risky when in fact they aren’t really educated themselves….in fact they are repeating what their financial planner told them.

Learning from jamie and steve has given me control of my life. I lost my job b4 as a Chemical Engineer in alarge oil and gas firm due to mass reduncy. I now know how to make money whether i have a job or not and i’m so grateful for this.

Learnigtoinvest…can I suggest that you read all the threads on this topic…you will find that certain posters seem to be way too pro these courses for my liking and far too quick to dismiss the rulings and advice from ASIC in relation to these courses.

I have made my feelings known about this topic and I don’t want to go over old ground…..but I suggest you do your homework before commiting to anything in this area.

    Please be carefull

Yeah I agree with Nat comments. Get Jamie’s free DVD the do lots of research. After reading Jamie’s material i went to the library and started borrowing books about options and i was surprised that i could understnad those books after understanding jamie’s teaching. From there I’m would i spoke to ASX and brokers, paper traded before live trading. Nat just doesn’t like him because he names covered calls strategies “renting share” as she reckon its misleading but what she doesn’t realise technical terms scares more people then open up their minds.

    Cheers,

My dislike for the person you mention does not stem from and is not limited to his misuse of this definition.

I don’t like any get-rich quick guru who thinks they can flaunt the law and spin rubbish to the public.

So by definition, I hate all get-rich quick gurus.

If he is so smart why does he not go through the correct licencing channels ???

Hundreds of other people do it every year and they don’t purport to be as clever as jamie….so what is the catch???

BTW Perry…please refrain from explaining to people what you (mistakenly) feel is my thinking.

I like to do my own thinking and rationalisation of my thinking.

The ASIC liscence??? pffft! How many University professors do you know that’s finacially free? Was my University professor there when i was stressed out trying to get a job? Was my university professor there to help me when i lost my job? Give me a break Nat.The license means jack all. Only real life experiences works in the real world my friend. “Everyone needs to jump through the hoop” give me a break…. because they are a bunch of sheeps! The 95%.

    Cheers,

    Perry

I have re-read my post and from what I can see I’m not saying that University professors need ASIC accrediation.

What I did say (which you seem to be avoiding or you just plain can’t understand) is that if these supposedly “worthless” (your view, not mine) licences are so easy to get, then why don’t these gurus get one, and then get back to work without this continual cloud over their head.

Can I ask your view on unlicenced doctors, unlicenced commercial pilots and unlicenced builders???

Surely “jumping through a few hoops” is pretty inconvient for them also…lets cut them some slack why don’t we.

    Hi all,

Retracing old ground and getting nowhere. FFComm has directed Learningtoinvest to a lengthy discussion which canvasses the many and varied responses.

As the matter is now in legal hands – lets leave the discussion there.

    Hi,

Just to clarify – the link mentioned was, we believe, a Google Adwords link.

We have some limited control over what comes out, but it is derived from the Google database.

PropertyInvesting.com and Steve McKnight are in no way affiliated with any Google Ad links that may be displayed on this site from time to time.

    Regards,
