I’m new to investing and being from Sydney not very familiar with Brisbane. Am considering buying a 3 BR plus study , 2.5 t/b, one garage townhouse in McDowall for $ 460,000. Just wondering if this is reasonable and whether the area has good growth prospects?

Thanks for the great advice, Brian & Corey.
As Brian mentioned, I’ve also been thinking of getting smaller properties in lesser risk areas. St Mary’s & Blacktown appear to have reasonable growth and yield for 2 bedroom units. Are these areas still good buys? Or have they flatlined? Are there better ones in NSW?

You’re right ,Voyager Point seems overpriced compared to surrounding areas. I guess the only thing going for it is proximity to Holsworthy Barracks.
