<p>I don&#8217;t consider an investment property to be a good deal unless the rental return (pw) is equal to the purchase price (minus the zeros) so for example, if you purchased the property for $295k, I would want to be confident of receiving at least $295 pw rent. <p>I have had a look at units in the suburbs, but Palmerston appeals to me more. A unit in Nightcliff for example is generally older and needs more work than a unit in Palmerston.
