OC1 – thanks for the detailed and helpful information. I'm currently doing a development in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne demolishing the existing house and building 2 new double story townhouses. Thanks for everyones comments. I'm inclined to engage all parties (architects, engineers, town planner) separately and manage them myself purely to try and reduce cost. By the way I'm based in Melbourne. Thanks again.
