<p>I did one expensive course in Sydney, wasn&#8217;t very impressed with it, so I asked for, and received, my money back!</p>

<p>I have just purchased Dale Gatherum-Goss&#8217; tax manual which has a bit on wraps. In it he states that &#8220;there is no capital gain on the sale of the property as the nature of the business is in buying and selling properties. Capital gains normally relates to the sale of an investment asset and not a business&#8221;. (page 119).</p>

<p>First I&#8217;d try to find out what similar properties in the area are renting for, ie market rent. They may be letting it to their friends at a lower than market price.</p>
<p>Then as $50,000 is just the asking price so I&#8217;d then be asking what is the lowest you can accept!
