How ya doin Giddo , yeh it would be a capital gain scenario as it would be neg geared .
I may have answered my own question though in that we have just found out that the banks wont lend any substantial amount on these type of retirement units because Govt regulations prohibit them from evicting elderly tenants in the event of a loan default.…[Read more]

Surely tho , in such a scenario , you wouldnt be losing 75 k as much as craeting 75k worth of equity in your neg geared property ?

Whilst I was walking through a house there recently , the agent , behind me , said and here’s the chippy .
