Did the same thing with a shoe box and saved for a family holiday.
EMacca, i agree with geo, put some money away where you don’t have access to it via a card, so you have to physcially go into a bank to get it out. It is good you know your weaknesses

1. the price margin( I know a famous wrap guru puts roughly $25,000 on top of everything he buys)

Hi Redwing, i bought the academic version of MS Office, my friend is a teacher and all she did was show her teachers credentials and it cost around $250.00 compared to $1000.00. I have the 2002 version and it works like a treat

Hi Diane, my gosh we must have looked at the same property. I have never felt the vomit rise in my throat as i did when i entered this rental property the other day. The REA didn’t blink an eye, he said just give it a paint and rent it out again. We lived in a house that had a hole in the floor, the landlord was contacted to fix it, he arrived poured cement into the hole ( right over the floor boards) and left. We were amazed and humilated. I have vowed to treat our tennants/clients like human beings. Some landlords need to be strung up by their B*lls, or worst forced to live in their rented houses for a while.

Anyway , Investing is a journey, I reckon everyoune HAS to do it, just like everyone should brush their teeth and maintain their car, It’s a part of life that is neglected by so many because of fear. FEAR OF FAILURE/LOSS/YOU LOOKING LIKE AN IDIOT COZ YOU ENTERED A TRADE AND IT WENT AGAINST YOU…
Know a couple in their 60’s with only their house as an asset (of course they have to live in it and try and live on the pension) when we tell them we are investing, their heads spin and the Crash of the 80’s the recession of the 90’s Paul Hogan dumping Nolene is all brought up and thrown at our face!
After reading ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ my response is remember the Alimo !!
JUST DO SOMETHING! (oh and educate thy self)
