    Hiya,

So on which day did you actually have your baby? Was it on the 25th or 43 hours after the 25th, but what time? I was born on the 26th of June.

I purposefully told people that I was due 2 weeks later than the actual date, so that I could avoid the questions “Haven’t you had the baby yet? When are you due?” etc etc It also gave me some private time with my baby and my family. I get clucky just thinking about it again.

What an awesome experience! I still cry at all my client’s birthings LOL! At the active birth workshop, I started crying just watching a video of a really beautiful birth… All the pregnant women and their partners looked at me blubbering away, I think with much amusement. [:D]

What do you remember most about your midwife or OB (i.e. what they said or did), when you were in labour?

    Cheers

    Hiya,

    Okay, reread my post…
I’m not suggesting anyone has been disrespectfull,
so please don’t hang me [:P]
I know, we’re all waiting for the good news.
I was merely reflecting on professional experience and that sometimes people can wait up to 2 weeks to actually inform others of the baby’s birth. Usually because they want to have some private moments before the phone starts ringing, the next door neighbour wants to do babysitting, the questions on the actual labour etc are asked etc etc etc.

Do any of you have some good labour stories to tell? [:D]

    Cheers

    Hi there,

As the birth of a baby is such a joyous occasion, people also tend to forget it is also a private moment.
I know Steve has become a public figure, but let’s respect that he has a private life as well.
I’m sure when the time is right we’ll hear the good news and we will all be able to wish them our congratulations.

    Cheers

    Hiya MJK,

The only way to improve things is to hear what people have to say. I think honesty is important regardless of the sacrifices one might have to make in order to achieve it. Ultimately it’s up to you to decide whether you speak up or not.
I know you’ve answered questions before, because I’ve read and appreciated your posts.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Hi there,

Having been to Fiji in the last 6 months and having visited Denarau Island, although it’s very beautiful, I tend to agree with Tim. There is much unrest within the people, wages are lower, etc.
There are spots where buying property is potentially more lucrative (ie. Raki Raki), some in Suva etc, but why take such high risks when you can get the same yields here in OZ?
Buying as a holiday rental is a good idea, except Danarau is a very pricy area due to the Sheraton Resorts etc, why would people pay $2-300 per night when they can stay there in the resort for less (especially UK and USA travellers, where things are way cheaper due to the exchange rate)?

    Hiya,

It always concerns me when the two get involved in the same thought (that is money and G-d).

G-d is not bound by money (from what I’m told).
Remember Money is a man-made invention. It is no master yet it makes slaves.

    Re: Financial Freedom

    quote:

I feel that God is in full support of this

What if you didn’t feel either way, whether G-d supported it or not? Would that change your desire to be financially free?

    Just curious?

    Hi there,

There are many of us who’ve been here a while, but we all started somewhere. I was a ‘newbie’ too and I appreciated those ‘oldies’ at the time who answered my questions even if it was just a link to somewhere that I could go for more information and then teach myself. [^]
I’m happy for anyone to ask for help and I’d do what I could to get the info for them. I’m learning as I research for ‘newbies’ and ‘oldies’ alike and I believe that everyone brings their own ‘character’ (if you will) to the forum, which is part of it’s delight.

Steve takes an active interest in this forum, even though he is very busy (as he is now), and has his hands full ([;)]) so when he announced at his last seminar that he was looking to see who on the forum would be helping others, I took a step back and watched with interest as those people who wanted to be noticed, shined [8D][8D][8D].
There have been many who’ve been helping others and answering posts. I know their motives are pure and they are the nicest people you’d ever be blessed to meet.

    quote:

I suppose newbies is fresh meat for the sale of products though

MJK, if you are trying to suggest that this is just a marketing ploy, then you’ve missed the point why this site exists in the first place. I think Steve could have charged to be a member of this open forum, or only made access to it for those who’d purchased his products, if he’s focus was on the money (which it is not).
In fact I personally think that Steve’s products are top quality, so ‘newbies’ would be far better off armed with the information Steve put’s out, then where I started 2K down from mistakes made due to lack of knowledge.
As with all ‘working’ places, politics can rear it’s ugly head (one of my pet hates [:P])[:(], let’s chill out and just remember we are all here to learn and share, in whatever capacity we feel comfortable to do so.

    quote:

As a newbie I would just like to say that some ‘oldtimers’ posts read as moody and menopausal

Sunshine, I’m not menopausal yet (not yet anyway[;)]) and moody, well I can be [:D] – (Mini says it’s because of my star sign) I think it’s because (just like most of us are busy),we have many things on our plates and life is just one series of juggling acts simultaneously. However I do like your point and couldn’t help myself laughing [:D](Bare with me, I have a weird sense of humour [:0)][}:)]). From now on, I’ll try to be less moody (although, I’m not sure what I can do for the ‘menopausal’ bit though [:D])

If anyone is uncomfortable posting, whether they be a ‘newbie’ or not, you can always email me, sooshie(@)propertyinvesting.com, and most of you who’ve already done that, know that I respond almost as soon as I get your email and have done the research. There is help out there if you need or want it.

    Cheers

    Hiya,

Yep, this probably should have been in the ‘forum fun’ thread, but you could always try Baby Bunting
    http://www.babybunting.com.au/ or
    Babyco http://www.babyco.com.au/
your local VIC roads (or whatever state you are in).

The other thing you could do, is cross out baby and use a permanant marker and write ‘Child’ instead.

    Hiya,

I was driving with Pip in the car, when we passed a house being built (Wingate ST) Bentleigh East, when Pip calls out to me “Oh Dear Oh Dear, the roof is broken”, so I replied “Phillip the house is being built, the roof is not broken”, so Phillip, calmer now said “That’s right Daddy will fix it” (with a beaming smile on his face [:D])
I’m glad to see he’s taking an interest in real estate [;)][:D]

Thanks for the feedback. I agree, email alerts and the potential to uplink pics would be useful. I know this was said before but the upgrade is coming soon. As they say ‘All good things are worth waiting for’.

Gotta make this quick, supposed to be working [:D]

Yep…kinda oopsed it with the ‘Water Rats’ thingi. I knew they swum, but in salty water?
I guess they’re like The Triffids, they just grow and grow and get nastier by the minute. Gross! [:P]

At least with Rabbits, people can eat them (not me, but I know of people who do), but rats!!! [:P]

    Now I’m squemish [:P][:P][:P]

    Gone to take a Quick-eze

    Hi there,

Luckily for you, I was brought up on a steady diet of ‘Easy Listening 3MP’ etc [:D] sooooo…here are some of my favourites. Yes, they’re classics (like me [}:)][;)]).

    1) Nat King Cole – Fly Me To The Moon (Unforgettable is great too)
    2) SWAY – Bobby Rydell (Dean Martin recordings good)
    3) Lady In Red – Chris De Burgh
    4) Sea Of Love – Honeydrippers
    5) Three times a lady – The Commodores
    6) When a man loves a woman – Percy Sledge (Michael Boulton recording’s okay)
    7) Killing Me Softly – Roberta Flack
    8) When I fall in love – Nat King Cole
    9) You Are So Beautiful – Joe Cocker
    10) Crazy little thing called love – Freddy Mercury (of Queen)

There is another cd out, by Michael Boobeley (I think the spelling of his surname is wrong – [:I]), who’s voice is very good and he sings some of the oldies.
There are heaps more, but I hope this gets you out of a bind.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

I like the ad, where the Indian man picks up his girl for a date(?) and she brings all the relatives to come. So they all pack into this little van and he pops out some fresh breathe mint.
I remember my brother asking this girl on a date and she brought her 2 sisters along aswell. I guess that’s why I like this add.
Another ad (which might be only on at the movies) is for the new Peugot. He smashes his car (a beetle I think), then gets an elephant to sit on it, then chisels away at it..so that it looks like a Peugot.

    Hi there,

    Can’t remember whether I’ve said this before..hold on I’ll scroll down…Nope…I didn’t.
Well hubby and boys and I went for a walk by the Brighton Baths (on the pier there) and we (the boys) were feeding the fish, when all of a sudden this ‘thing’ swims up and frightens the fish away.
So there Mike and I stood, trying to work out whether it was an otter, a Penguin, seal or a rat which swam up (we looked like we were having a tennis match “No it’s seal…No it’s a rat…No it’s an otter” etc, Poor Pip and Simon where looking at us dumbfounded) I said to Mike “It looks like a rat, but I didn’t know they swam in sea water”.
Anyway, the next day, I asked my friend who goes to Mordialloc beach and she said there were heaps of rats there. [:O][:O][:O]
Sea rats… anyone want to take them home? [:P] They gave me the ‘ebejebeeze’. Now my nephews ‘Ruthie’ with her white fur and red eyes is really cute. I wonder if she swims? [}:)][;)][:D]

Phillip: “Mummy can I massage your back?”
    Me: “[:0)] Yes please”
This is when Phillip produces a toy car and rolls it on my back and shoulders. Talk about 4WDriving! [:0)][:D][:0)]
