I know of a development in St Kilda which you might like and it is close to your price range as well. Email me on [email protected] I'll be happy to pass on the details.
    Good luck!

Are you a permanent resident of Australia?? Is this house is going to be your PPOR??
If so I suggest you get a house and land package in Decmber. (You'll get $32,000 if you sign the contracts before 30Sep 09 though!)
The house will take a few months to build. You have to move in within 12 months of completion and stay there for 6 months after that. You will be eligible then.
If you are not too fussed about having to pay a mortgage (it will be progress payments so not all at once) without getting any rent I think this would be the best way to go in order to ensure you are eligible for the FHOG.
Contact me on [email protected] if you need any more information.
    Good luck!

Why Dysart in particular??? I have a number of properties in other areas in QLD if it is postive cashflow you are after. I could email the details to you if you give me your email address.

    Cheers!

    Hi Sandy,
I can think of a few ways to minimise the tax you will be paying and to pay off your credit card debts. That will free up cashflow for you to save for a deposit for a house.
If you'd like to discuss your options please call on 03 9863 7900
I work in a financial planning company specialising in helping women so would love to help you out!
    Cheers
