    Thanks Diane,
So are you saying they are generally built in no go zones as far as good tennants are concerned?
The one’s I seen didn’t seem to be semi’s but were much cheaper than a standard home in the the same area, can you,or anyone elaborate on why this is the case?
    Thanks,
    Shane.

    Hi all!,
As you know I am very knew to all of this and have only recently purchased my own home and have not yet entered the real world when it comes to investing, but a question I have noticed that keeps on getting ignored on this site is where to invest!
Being a forum I thought everyone shares information and so on,but this seems to be non-existent on this site.
    can someone explain why?

I have found high yields in the Sydney area and was wondering the same thing. If positive income is our main reason for investing wouldn’t this be a fantastic idea considering it is the only +ve IP’s available in the Sydney metro area?

isn’t positive cashflow the main reason for investing on this website?
i just think 3% is a pretty ordinary return unless you think the capital appreciation is going to go through the roof in a short space of time!
    p.s.sorry if i sound naive!

    Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Do you think it is best to lock into a fixed term on any IO loans and what is the general strategy in the future for interest rate rises?
Has anyone been positive gearing long enough to remember when rates were around 18%,and if so,what could you do other than try to raise rent or sell?
