I would also like to hear peoples opinion on this fixed rate rise. Is this an indicator of rates rising in the near future? Also i know that it is hard to predict in this specific time, but what are peoples predictions for the next couple of years regarding Interest rates.

thanks for your help everyone. i think i will go ahead and restructure the loan. the variable rate i am being offered is 4.94% which is close to half of what i was paying. even if it the breaking cost does equal the same amount of interest i would have paid in two years, i dont want to regret not having the opportunity of the low interest rates…[Read more]

I am in the same predicament in Melbourne. I have tried three different accountants in the last three years and they all have that same bad attitude towards giving one on one service. Can anyone recommend and accountant who i can trust and also has expertise in the property field.Thanks
