Hi, there are many places available today online for your need. I cannot personally quote the name of any person as I have not hired an agent as yet. I had rented an apartment from listings by an online source.

US banks probably will not lend to you on the property.

You will need to get financing in the country you buy from or use a line of credit from another property you own in the states.

Make sure to get title insurance!

This is a very right step on your part; you have to make each possible effort to popularize your business. As most of the places are going hi tech and people turning on to the internet for their needs, I think this is a potential market. You can get listed among the real estate agents list so that if anyone searches for an agent you can be considered. You can also find prospective customers by the same way as there are sites with good property listings for people.

I think that you are going right. The factors that translate into Alberta being the No. 1 region in Canada for investing in real estate are that Alberta includes high energy prices, rapid population growth, low unemployment, an abundance of jobs, improved infrastructure and affordable housing costs. When it comes to investing in real estate Alberta, I think Edmonton, Grand Prairie, and Calgary, with Red Deer, Sturgeon County, and Strathcona County hold a good place. For your Alberta Property Investment issues I think that you can go to people that offer joint venture services as well as advices on various property issues.

The first thing you need to do is to understand very well the market, neighborhoods and the property type you will be investing in, their idiosyncrasies, current situation, and dynamics that is where prices and rents are headed (up or down) – if you are going to be investing in what I call "bargain" properties you need a mentor experienced in this type of investing (I am not one of those) because you will encounter many details turns and situations that are not described by books…You may check out the site http://www.getrealrei.com for information and guidance. Get a good feel of the market before doing anything.

    Best of luck,
