SIS,
Considering you’re saying this domino thingy is so high risk, what have you done, or what you do, to cover your arse if the house of cards collapsed?

Pisces,
That’s pretty much what I was trying to explain… however it sounds too obvious.

I reckon Musharraf will do whatever he’s told to do.
Also I’m sure George Dubya would have the PR (or perhaps, propaganda) team in place to get some shots then release carefully chosen shots on a video news release… I’m not a huge conspiracy theorist, and I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but I just wouldn’t be surprised if George pulls it…[Read more]

or will OBL be magically captured a couple of weeks before the Americans go to the polls? I know that’s cynical, but I wouldn’t be surprised…

1. Me, my wife and extended family being healthy and genuinely happy… not necessarily in financial terms, but just being able to wear a genuine smile and saying “life’s pretty good”
2. Making productive use of my spare time, in terms of utilising it to learn, stay fit and strong, having fun, stopping to smell the roses…
3. Enjoyment of…[Read more]richmond replied to the topic Mad crowds marching in support of Saddam in the forum No Subject 21 years, 8 months ago
I actually think valiantwagon’s responses aren’t too far off the mark… in 10 years time will Musharraf be friend or foe? Saddam was a friend for a while then fell out of favour… Afghanistan is a basket case and the Taliban have not been chased away… where is Osama? He’s done a pretty good job of evading the most powerful army on the face of…[Read more]

Personally I’m using LOC against PPOR to make purchases that equate to 100% finance, LOC covers 20% deposit and 5% costs, and then taking separate loans for extra 80% … then our salaries go back into LOC to keep it nice and healthy. All loans are stand alone, not cross collaterised. We’re about a month away from having our LOC chock full again,…[Read more]

Use equity from paid off PPOR to buy IP1,
then use equity from IP1 to buy IP2,
then use equity from IP2 to buy IP3, etc…closer?

With all due respect, until you add some “meat” to your posts, I’ll be retaining my healthy scepticism. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. [exhappy]

Well yack, Chan used a few choice words towards me over the last week (which he has apologised for) so I don’t think it’s too harsh…
The point is (made by a friend [wink]) that it’s good to ask questions and look for proof… too many people blindly accept whatever they’re told as being fact… why do we think people who bought OTP at Docklands…[Read more]

Hi,
Is there any professional package available with your lender that will give you an interest rate discount?
Also, it depends on what the “best” property actually is for you… it could be high yielding, it could have a lot of cg potential, it could be by the beach, in the CBD or a country town/city etc etc… basically, I try to buy places…[Read more]

That’s crap Chan, some of the most successful property investors I know are more than forthcoming with tips and hints, both on this board, and others like it…
It wouldn’t be hard to come on here under a pseudonym, claim I have dozens of properties and stacks of money, then when some beginner asks me for some advice I just say “oops, no can’t…[Read more]
