Am I the only person that thinks chasing booms is not ideal?

Why not simply look at the history of an area, current factors (eg floods), and forthcoming infrastructure?

Nup you’re not the only one at all JacM – We profit year in year out regardless of where the market is at :)

We take videos as well as photos :) I;m now wondering what the toilet seat replacement will cost… and you’re so right, they’re the last thing you’d check when inspecting! Yep lock the gates and ask for monies for the seats before handing over pots…. maybe you could sell the pots on ebay?

As much as you are in doo doo, by posting your situation here and being so honest I am sure you will help others looking to do the same type of deal in the future. It doesn’t really help you out I know, but karma works in strange ways. Don’t be hard on yourself either, you’ve come to the right forum to find solutions, there are some mighty smart people in here, all very happy to lend a hand :)

Before getting plans drawn, go into your local council and chat to them about your plans, it can save many a hassle!

Have you advertised them on Gumtree or Ebay? Could be another place to sell them :)

Nice work Kent, had you costed the renovation prior to purchase? did you adjust it along the way? :)

Go for the venetians with 50mm slats.  I think they look much nicer.  You could go timber or pvc.  Pvc are much cheaper and will not warp if they get wet.  So excellent for bathrooms and so forth.  Bunnings sells both, and you can install them yourself.

Agree with JacM, go the 50mm slats in pvc for rental properties :)
