    Thanks for the advise guys.
Our accountant is either very conservative or not very conservative. Maybe time to see another.

I dont get it. If a trust couldnt save you from a possible sueing. Why else would you pay $1000 a year for a trust. I have been trying to get my head around it for a couple of years now. Some people say they wouldnt purchase an IP without a trust and others say its not worth the money to pay for the trust. I have a friend that believes that the only reasons that an accountant recomends a trust is to line his own pockets.

    Can anyone enlighten me.[dead2]

    Hi Steve,

My tip would be do your homework and go for it. If you find a good deal weigh up the risks and take up the challenge.

Don’t forget if things don’t turn out as planned dont give up. Just remember you will have learnt a valuable lesson and now you will be one step closer to getting it right next time.

In the past I have made some mistakes and I have found the experience has made me stronger.

P.S. thank the site guru’s for the spell checker. I made a request and they delivered.

    Hi all,
I too have only been doing this for a while, but I find that I can create more interest by creating a definite mood within the entire home. What I am trying to say is that all white is very clean but some people have no imagination. I look at the outside of the home and think of what type of look it should have and I continue that theme throughout the home. I am very lucky in that I have a gift and homewares store and I am able to go to the trade fairs to find out the current and upcoming styles. This is a great insight into what people will be looking to purchase for their homes or their new homes.

Lifestyle is defiantly the in thing at the moment. I always do a feature wall or two with big sweeping suede effects. Fairly neutral tones but if you can tie colours together like kitchen bench tops and outside or inside feature walls its terrific.

I did a home that was an 80’s style orange brick, you know it boring.
1/ Changed bench tops to a nice mottled mustard colour.
2/ Made a feature wall in the lounge.
3/ Put a roof on the deck with an external feature wall
and 4/ On the other side of the home when you looked through the family room window, all you could see was the old soon to be replaced by the new owners fence. I put a wall with a wrought iron feature on it outside as a clever little coverup. All bench tops and feature walls were in the same colour everything else in clotted cream, so from the kitchen if you do a 360 you can see little bits of all the same colour, this certainly ties everything together.

Drink Heaps of water at the end of your night. The reason you have a fuzzy head is because you are dehydrated. Or there are some good little pills from the chemist these days that you can take before and during your big night. They are called Aldacol or something like it.

    Thanks for your reply,

The help I need is, how to hold the meetings and keep everone interested. When we are gathered specifically for property investing we need to make the most of our time. Because we are all friends its all too easy to have another glass of wine and achieve anything. Do you structure your meetings, give tasks to people. How do you learn and pass on knowledge (making sure that you are not going over ground that people don’t want to hear). I am use to meetings where everyone is working together to create one outcome each person has a task and the end result is a team effort but the same one. With property investing there are many ways, many different things to learn and many outcomes. Three couples will ultimately have 3 different journeys and outcomes. How do you go about your meetings are they formal or do they have a relaxed over dinner type of affair.

I have been polling them down to my girls at the shops I have and they love them. Although I have had to change the blonde jokes to red head jokes because all my staff are blonde but me. What the? Ten girls and all blonde how did that happen.

    Hi Steve,
The PM’s are great when you want to relate information to a particular precipitant. Also I have found people may have asked “where did you get that information from” or “can you give me the name of “ sometimes to be ethical or just plain decent you may not want the world at Propertyinvesting.com to know everything you post.

The idea of a live chat room sounds great. I have posted a question for you under “Steve’s books” that the live chat room could help us with.

On the topic of the shares forum being on this site. Well this is Propertyinvesting.com and I am sure there are plenty of share forums out there. If you don’t like flicking between forums all you have to do is make each forum you like a favourite and it only takes seconds to flick between.

Anyway that’s by opinions if ya like.[blush]

    I have one

Three men – an American, a Japanese and an Irishman – were sitting

    > > > Suddenly there was a beeping sound. The American pressed his forearm

    > > > and the beep stopped. The others looked at him questioningly.

    > > > “That was my pager,” he said. “I have a microchip under the skin of my

    > > > arm.”

    > > > A few minutes later a phone rang.

    > > > The Japanese fellow lifted his palm to his ear. When he finished, he

    > > > The Irishman felt decidedly low tech and, not wanting to be outdone,

Keep them coming. I need to send a good gag to my staff each morning after their computers pole over night. I started doing it and now they expect it.

    Hi Toystory,

Berwick is bubbling along quite nicely. With the new Casey Hospital opening up and the extended freeway, I can only see good things continuing to happen in the town.

    Hey ho, Braveheart and Doyle,

We are also in the same situation. We have tried to meet the market and it seems we are dropping our price each month. I think our biggest problem is that the only people that seem to be buying at the moment are investers looking for bargins.

So, I think that there maybe quite a few of us out there.
