I’m about to purchase a unit using my family trust. Does anyone know if the stamp duty amount is going to be same as if I bought as an individual? Or will it be more because a trust is involved.

Thanks

Hi all,

I own a few IPs, I’m thinking of hiring a property manager (not a realestate agent), but rather my cousin to manage the operations, eg. strata meetings, pay bills, screen tenants etc. I’m planning to pay him, will that be tax deductible? His payment will be a lot and will make my IPs negative geared. Is that legal?

I’m not sure where to post this, so i’ll just put it here. I have a neighbor whose big tree is leaning on our shared wooden fence, I’m concerned it will knock over the fence to my side. The tree just needs a trim to keep it standing straight, for some reason it has grown big branches toward my house hence making the trunk lean.
Does anybody know if “fibre weatherboards” refers to asbestos material?

I’m thinking of switching some of my investments to interest only. It seems heaps of investors do this, however I’m concerned about when it expires, what do investors do then? Do they sell off? Do the refinance to a different lender?

Hi all, thanks for the responses. A rough number would be about 400k LOC. Only 2 IPs have positive cashflow the other 3 are still negative. I was hoping that I wouldnt have to enter the stock market as it seems too volatile and risky. Perhaps manage funds would be better suited for me hmmmmmThanksPropertySeeker

I currently have 5 IPs with a bit of equity, what would people in this situation do now? what is their technique to retire? Selling seems abit wasteful and CGT isnt attractive.
