Hi, I'm also considering this at the moment.

If anyone could answer any of the following questions I would greatly appreciate it!

What is the average rate of commission at the moment? Upfront and trail?

Do any franchises other than Mortgage Choice offer a truly impartial service (as they pay brokers the same commission regardless of the lender chosen)?

Who are the most highly rated Aggregators/Franchises?

    Who have the worst reputation?

    Who has the best software?

    Who provides the best/most leads?

    Who has the best support?

    Thanks in advance!

So, nobody here holds these qualifications from PIPA or PIAA as they qualify you to do…nothing? At this stage anyway.

RG146 qualifications are the only requirement from ASIC if you want to provide financial investment advice.

    Is that correct?

Richard, at the moment if you want to give Property Investment advice, what are you required to have? Just RG146?

Attain what? You're not making much sense…

As far as I know there is not yet any regulation covering Property Investment advice specifically.

    Thanks for your reply Danielle.

Have you completed either course I mentioned?

Broadly speaking, what are the requirements to obtain one?

Do you have to have an AFSL to work for yourself as a Financial Planner?

Interesting. How much would the timber cost to build it myself?

I don't think it is a good time to get into broking. Commissions have been cut dramatically. trails are been more than halved. In the good old days some brokers earned more than heart sugeons.

However, there are not many industries in which you can build a trail income and if you can get the clients it is probably not a bad 'job'. If there is going to be a boom soon, then it is probably a good time to join the industry – so you can get some of the thousands of new loans that come with a boom..

Also, have you considered getting into financial planning ? either on its own or together. There are big monies to be made their too.

Are Financial Planners remunerated via commission too?

So, there's really no such thing as a 100% LVR loan for Investment purposes…if you have to have 20% equity regardless?

What about Owner occupied? Is that the same?

    Thanks Richard.

Are there Lenders that offer 97% LVR with LMI capitalised?

    Hi Richard,

Interested in a couple of your comments:

"Although as mentioned earlier you can do better in respect of interest and fees."
     – What other 100% lenders are there?

"All depends how much equity you have in your other properties. "
     – What effect does this have?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi,

Just wondering what the best 100% LVR Investment Loans were if not with St George?

    Thanks,

    PP
