    I agree with all.

Still at school I agree with your comment, there are 2 different ways. Today I had am meeting with my ceo he suggested i go for it and major in marketing and finnance. He firmly suggested that I go to prepare myself for any future oppotunities.

Speaking to people at AIM today also commented that in my postion it will bridge the knowledge gap keeping me open for better roles.

    I will keep you informed

P.S I finish my diploma in business tommorow – if I pass yeahhh[:D]

    Hey Westan,

I am looking at definatley purchasing my first property(ppor) and also purchasing my first ip this year as well. Hopefully we can still pick up some bargains as people in the market for -geared properties will jump out[^]

    Markpatric

having lived in the sth east region(gold coast) of qld and studying the market I can’t agree with all these news articles. Homes and moreso unit prices have allready cooled and in some cases slightly dropped.

Due I feel by the media installing fear into first time investors with the RBA’s intrest rate rises and it’s speculation constantly on when RBA will increase again.
There seems to be alot more 2 – 3 bedroom units and duplexes around the 180 – 210K mark, but I do agree that we may still see a slight increase due to the migration rates from southerners.

I can’t see queensland reaching Melb and Syd prices untill we see more corporations head quarters up here supporting higher wages and economic growth. This to me would take 5 – 10 years untill the consumer felt comfortable with the transfer, but it will happen with the migration of many business people entering queenslands workforce.

This is my view anyway…. cheers[:)]

    hey steve!
It feels weird posting to a topic written by the author of my last read book, but this is what you have taught me so far as i am still yet to purchase an ip.

As in refrence to my post “will the bubble burst” If most investors are astute wouldn’t it be wise to sell your ip now at the pinnacle of prices, pending on if capital gains kills the cash in your pocket. And purchase other properties at the lower price – less money spent on purchase leaving more money to spend on improvements to gain more rent or to put towards the purchase of other properties.

I have just came back from church where Peter J Daniels spoke. One good quote from him tonight was that “there is no right way to do the wrong thing”……something for us all to ponder

    thanks annaw2,

we have been in and seen these guys before as every time we frive by on a friday all there staff are cracking oper bottles of champas. That was a good sign of success.

Anyway went in today and talked to them. Most of the tennants are on 12 to 18mth lease options which unfortunately doesen’t work in with the fhog. This has however helped me in the direction that I will have to travell. Buy a unit and rent it out for 6 mths then move in for 6mnths for the fhog then buy another property and rent the unit.

    Thanks again.[:)]
