<p>She is currently a permanent resident. We recently bought a PPOR and also applied for the FHOG (still waiting for reply).</p>
<p>She is taxed as a normal citizen.</p>
<p>Even people in Australia on student visas get taxed at the normal tax rate (under normal employment coniditions).
