Sorry if I offended you Mr Taylor. I was trying to be of some help to the person with the problem.  I did contact Conveyancing Works in 2004 about a transfer and the cost was $360 but I have been told that it is much higher now.

I will not comment any more as I know nothing.

Hi: In Qld the going legal rate is $900 on the first $18,000 and 2 1/2% on the rest. You pay the advertising rates as per advertisement. I can give you the name of a person who negotiates sales commission and will definitely talk a deal on the commission. Try A1 Independant Real Estate.

I believe that Convenyancing Works do a good job and are the cheapest in Qld. They are part of the Government I believe but have never used them .. I will be approaching them to do my transfer if I can get a buyer. I have been told they are in the area of $900+.

    Check them out.

    Hello Richard:

I am selling my property here/on here as well, and after buying in Australia I intend to look overseas to other countries.  I do have some available cash at present but do not want to use too much of it unless it is a real good deal.

So far I have looked at Egypt and travelled there but they are too expensive for the building's worth.

    Regards

I have land in Townsville which is now starting to see the need for such with the number of retirees here.  My property is suitable for this kind of investment as it is 5452 sq.m. and handy to CBD. There are many government funded projects such as cheap or free transport for the elderly etc.  Contact me on 0747290317 if you are interested in it for a village or motel, service station, units or trucking co.  June
