<p>I&#8217;ve managed to get my hands on $50k cash.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m considering getting an investment property (no apartments) &#8211; but i&#8217;m not sure which way to go.</p>
<p>-Get a negatively geared place, 400k plus with a low yield and will have a better chance of CG.</p>

if a property, has gone up in value by say, 120k, i take it i can use that equity as a deposit on another place.<br />
what happens if the property market goes down and that 120k equity drops to 50k?<br />
does that affect the other property loan etc?</p>

<p>i take it you mean having less cashflow restricts buying more &#8211; if that is the long term plan (which it would be i guess).</p>

<p>I&#039;m thinking of getting an IP in&nbsp;qld first (i&#039;m living vic), as the stamp duty appears to be cheaper and i have access to family who just happened to be in the building trade for renos.</p>
<p>But in terms of getting a finance guy, is this a broker or investment property financial planner?</p>
