Thanks Victoria, some good points there and I do have some copies of other quotes I obtained myself that I should dig up.  It would be way too difficult to attend court as I'm living 5 hours flight away.

    I was self-managing over a year ago before I employed PM's.

I like Ashfield too.  13-14 years ago I was wanting to purchase on the river.  One house came up for sale for $250,000 but I wasn't quite ready to buy yet.  Nothing came up for sale when I was ready a year later.  I ended up purchasing one street back from the river instead.  Pity!!

    Kiara, Perth.

Lots of cul-de-sacs, low crime.  Small suburb, quiet, some big, newish houses on big blocks, good value for money.  Easy access to beach, Swan Valley, City, Hospitals, shops, etc.

What and where did you purchase for $350k?  Seems like a good buy for a house at that price.  did you have to do a reno?

I'm looking to purchase at Parkinson.  Agent told me prices haven't gone down.  Was telling me they've gone from having 100's of listings in suburba a year ago to about 20.  I'm looking in the $500 –700k range.  Lifestyle choice rather than investment.  Renting is looking good.

Does anyone think Bris is at the top of the cycle or is still going up?

Brissie is an interesting City and as far as activity is concerned would have to say it is busier now than it was a year ago.

I personally have picked up some bargains over the last 3 months and have clients also buying multiple properties.

Guess it depends on which suburb you are looking at and your price range.

    Which suburbs?

So if you became unemployed and your figures changed does that mean you wouldn't be penalised?

Sell and move on – if you think it's the best solution. Work your no's.
