    Thanks Amanda!

I am a newbie and needed some ideas or suggestions from experienced investors. I was wondering if anyone has tried this before… My plan is to put a kit home at the back of a rental property to increase cash flow..  land area is approx 866 sqm thought kit homes are cheaper to build given the fact that I have limited resources.. what do you guys think? any suggestions please.

    Thank you..

Thanks guys for the replies they serve as eye opener to me and I’m sure for others who are new to investing too.

With regard to qlds007’s reply :

At the moment our repayment on our homeloam covers Interest and Principal.. are you saying that it is better to pay interest only? im confused as i am a new to property investing. I am trying to gather as much info as i can at the moment. my plan to to pay homeloan quicker and at the same time save for deposit for IP.

Hi! We did ours thru Citibank. They opened an at-call account in USD. Our money wasn’t converted to AUD when we transferred it here in OZ . It was good to do it this way so you can wait for a better rate to come before you convert you USD to AUD (esp. when exchange rate is at it’s lowest). They even have multi currency account where in you can automatically convert your USD to AUD or vice versa depending on the rate you have nominated.

    Cheers
    Rach
