    hi there,

    i have worked in property management and appreared at tribunal countless times… if there are no comments made by either party on the condition report about the condition of walls in other rooms, it is assumed that they are unmarked… So its worth taking further for sure. Try to negotiate it with the tenants first, see if they will agree to a bond deduction, if middle ground cant be found, then take it to tribunal. A good way of prooving the condition (either to tenants or to the tribunal member) is by producing a tax invoice of the painting done before the lease started (with applicable date). I'm in Vic… not sure about other states, but you could have a good case.
