    Hi Guys,

Thought I would join the fray!  I'm currently living in Melbourne looking in a few area's in the US hoping to invest around $20K.  The previous posts have proven invaluable but I was hoping to gain a little more info if anyone has any…

I was also hoping that a few of you may not mind sharing the details of people you have felt have helped in the process, like lawyers and realtors.

What do I need to purchase a forclosed property in the US?

My wife is a US passport holder if this helps.

    Thanks heaps,

    Max

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly RickH.  Love the fact that it seems to be working out for you!  I would greatly appreciate it if we could stay in contact over the coming months.  I'm sure i could gain a great deal from your experiences… For instance what is legally required for an Australian to purachase property in the U.S.?  Hope this doesn't sound a little too one sided for you just unsure of who else to ask.

My general call out for help still stands.  Currently researching outer detroit, phoenix and other locals…

If you have any info, please post….

    Thanks,

    Max

    Hi Guys,

Not really sure if this is the right place to post so please forgive me if I miss the mark…

I am currently seeking any advice available about investing in property within the US.  I have no particular region or state that I am committed to, though I have been advised that some areas around Detroit may be of interest.  What I am seeking is the relevant general advice of  those who do not have a vested interest in my money.  I am dealing with Splash at the moment simply because they were the first to get back to me.  They appear to be an agency that purchases, refurbishes and resells foreclosed properties. However I have done no research in relation to them, so stay tuned… Have also been considering other agencies such as housebuyers USA and MyUSAProperty so any feedback of who is good/bad, safe/dangerous etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently looking to invest roughly 20K AUD on something that  will look after itself.  As a realist I understand that this kind of outlay is not going to see a huge return but I am very interested to hear some opinions.

    Need help guys… I’m not a twit it’s just my first time…

    Thanks,

    Max

    Hey all,

Probably best to start with a couple of confessions…  I am not by any means a heavy hitting investor… And am ashamedly a web forum virgin.  Hopefully,  some of you can look past this.

I am currently seeking any advice available about investing in property within the US.  I have no particular region or state that I am committed to, though I have been advised that some areas around Detroit may be of interest.  I have just now stumbled upon this thread and have read with curiosity RickH’s experiences in purchasing in the US.

What I am seeking is the relevant general advice of  those who do not have a vested interest in my money.  I am dealing with Splash at the moment simply because they were the first to get back to me.  However I have done no research in relation to them, so stay tuned… Have also been considering the agency’s mentioned in these forums such as housebuyers USA and MyUSAProperty so any feedback of who is good/bad, safe/dangerous etc. would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Max
