Terryw, I understand the concept. This is not something new, many out there promoting this.

Just prefer eventually to own property outright.
Disadvantage with this though is having to sell and associated costs involved in this process.
I guess different strokes for different folks.

Can you bring in more money by perhaps renting out a room to a student for additional income.

Hi there, welcome to forum, you might find a book by Jan Sommers useful, I did.
I buy property and hold and feel comfortable with this strategy. Also look at various posts of forum to assist in the direction that suits. Good luck
