<p>My suggestion is to firstly assess your goals. To do this you should ask yourself question such as:</p>
<p>are you looking for capital growth or cashflow?</p>
<p>How much can you afford?</p>
<p>what areas are you looking at?</p>

<p>From my experience I have found that many of these types of property investments have high management, strata or body corporate fees that negate the initial high yeild that you think you will be getting from teh property.</p>

<p>I myself have purchased properties through options where I have paid $1 for the option fee for upto 12 months. I&#8217;ve done this twice and made six figures both times.</p>

In that one there was only one or two possible buyers because the site required to be amalgamated to maximise its yield as it could only be battle-axed as a stand-alone property but could be developed into townhouses if the property was widen by amalgamation.</p>
