There are three sides to all stories,   Your side – There side – and the truth.   I am sorry to say that it would be rare that anyone is placed on Tica for no reason.   You may well see it as the Agents fault and obviously the Agent sees it as your fault.   Is there any money still owing and if so paying this amount will get your name of TICA.   I am equally sure that once you become a landlord, you may well appreciate a list of nuisance Tenants.

Let me also assure you that the Tenant very much gets the support over the Landlord or Agent in most cases.

You have got to be joking.   I haven't told all of the woes that this crooked Real Estate Agent put me through, but if you have 1/2 a day perhaps you'd like to hear the full story then rethink your comments.

Like I might of mentioned I have been renting since I left home (some 25 years ago) & have had no trouble with any agents until this one.   I am far from the nuisance tenant, but I suppose I see where you are coming from.  If I were a landlord I prob would appreciate the list – hence why I have chosen not to be one because alot of nuisance ones can escape being listed and I choose not to put myself through that sort of harrasement.

I am just looking for advice, so this crooked agent doesn't get away with yet another misdeed.   I suppose without hear the whole story it is hard to understand my situation, but I am asking for advice not judgement.

Maybe you could look up the tenants union in your state and ask their advice – do a google search.

Do you mean the Residental Tenancy Authority??

Thnaks, I will try to call them and see what they say, but with all of the trouble from the Real Estate Agent I had in my last tenancy, I didn't feel I had much support from them at all.  It seemed the tenant had the least amount of rights or fight power – even though the Agent was in the wrong.

Have you tried talking to TICA?

Thanks for your reply newbi2.  Yes, I did ring them up and got through pretty straight away, only to have a rudeness through back at me when I tried to explain my situation.   Looks like fairness doesn't play a part when it comes to the courts or TICA, its whoever can create the biggest lie and get away with it – wins.
