    Hi
Just read the post on investing in Ballarat- sounds terrific and coming from
someone who has one IP in Moranbah QLD , and as i live in Victoria- it might be
just me- but the idea of having an Invest prop a bit closer feels a bit more secure
    – Perhaps!!

    Good Luck

    Cheers
    Jo

Thanks Austy for your info about the fumes in Gladstone- i guess you have to be a bit impartial about what you read in the newspapers. Back to the drawing board.

    Regards

    Jo.

    Hi Natasha,

Just read your post and I was/still looking at Gladstone to invest, the areas to be careful about that i have read in newspaper articles, are those suburbs that have fumes from the mines that have caused some problems for families- may have to investigate exactly where they are!

    Good luck to you

    Jo

which suburbs are near the new LNG MInes ?

    Thanks

    Hi
Just thought – you may want to invest some of your 300k in silver bullion as this according to a friend of mine is a booming commodity at the moment- i know this is not about property but it may make money for you to get an investment prop in the near future.
    Wish you well.

    Hi Forrest,

If you have equity in anything that  you own you should be able to borrow for an investment property,
We went through a broker and my husband earns under $45 K pa , we borrowed money for  house and land in a mining town that has positive rental returns and that always helps when applying for loans etc, You could even try Australian lending Centre and explain the situation.
I wish you all the best
