Thank you everyone so much for your help!

Obviously I am a learner in this aspect of home-ownership. I have never owned a town-house, only actually houses.

I’ll print a copy of that info and take it along when looking next week.

Back to my new home searching!

    Thanks again.

    Dragons,

I’ve actually got the same response from over ten different agents listing more than ten townhouses – Murphy’s Law??

Every place I have phoned about has given the same response, “No pets”.

    Under 10kg???????

Gees, time to put the dog on a diet, or amputate a few limbs……LOL

I’m flying up to Brissie on Feb 22 for a week to look for a place: if anyone knows of townhouses under 150k in “safe” areas where pets are allowed, PLEASE let me know here.

    Thanks everyone……..

I’m hopefully heading up there in the next two weeks to check things out, which I expect will help seal my decision on the “right” area. Burpengary was another area that I MAY be able to afford, as usual, it depends on the amount I clear on the sale of my home here.

As for work, initially I will just be helping my aged uncle who has cancer and lives alone – so area is not really relevant work-wise at this point. He lives in Clayfield – an area I definately CANNOT afford!

    Permanent work will come later.

Thanks so much for your opinions everyone.

    Jemm
