Hi All, I thought I would give an update on my experience so far. I now have 2 properties and this company along with Ray White (they are managing the properties) are really on the ball. The first property was renovated really nicely and I was provided with updates throughout the process. It rented within 3 days of completion for $1150 which was 50$ more than quoted. They even gave me a free upgrade to Granite in my kitchen as they managed to get some cheap. I have been really impressed with the way Ray White has been communicating with me and Sandy has been fantastic. The second home is under renovation at the moment. They have also got me bank finance on the first home so that I could buy the second.

I was asked by Inprop to give an honest review on this site and I am doing so. I really think that this company has the investors best interest at heart.

    Thanks,

    Jacob

    Hi Everyone,

I am back in Australia now. I must say it was great heading over to see everything myself. Reid, thanks for your time it was great to meet you and your guidence was very much appreciated.

I have put 2 properties under contract. They are both Short Sales and in really good school districts (7/10 and 8/10 on the zillow ratings) and have an average household income of around $60,000. One is in Snellville and the other is in Alpharetta. Reid and the team come across as well organized, transparent and have a nice office, well staffed and the renovations they showed me where of excellent quality. I also saw some of there development projects and the one in Buckhead in particular really is awesome. Overall a very long but informative trip.

Anyway, anyone thinking about buying in America I would recommend it. You get a great understanding of how things work.

    Regards,

    Jacob

Ok Thanks, I asked them for a number and they gave me a number of a client who has bought several in Melbourne. Spoke to him on the phone and he seems legit.

They said that they only make money disclosed to me and because they are licensed realtors they are bound by ethics and rules that others in the industry are not. They showed me a case study and it seems they are 20% cheaper than some of the others I looked at however they are not turnkey providers so i am a bit worried about having to renovate and trust them to do that from the other side of the world so I have decided to fly over the Atlanta before settlement and check everything out. I will keep you informed of my progress as i get on.

    Thanks for the advice,

    Jacob.

Hi everyone. Arrived in the USA today and have been to the Inprop Office and checked everything out. All seems very impressive and they have introduced me to the Ray White USA property management which looks very good. There office is in quite a large building and they share with a Real Estate attorney called Woody. I have met the owner Reid Stewart along with the Broker Bradley Taylor. Reid is young but the agents in the office seem to be in there 50s and 60s which made me feel comfortable.

Anyway i had a look on the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) and i am going to look at some bank owned proprieties tomorrow along with a few that are for short sale and 2 that already have tenants in them. They also did a run through of why they are cheaper and showed me a couple of competitors houses online and i must say they have convinced me that buying direct from the MLS is the way to get a much better price.

    Thanks,

    Jacob.

I am in the process of  buying in Atlanta. Any Suggestions. I have found some Aussie guys called inprop USA. They seem to be very legit and do not sell turnkey. Instead they let you buy direct off the MLS (apparently a place where all properties are listed) and then they arrange renovation and rental along with closing, bank accounts ect. They are licensed relators to so to me they seem good. Has anyone got anything negative to say about these guys. They told me that I should only be investing in the North or Atlanta and with average incomes of 55k+. They say that houses out South may appear like they have higher returns for cheaper but the actual returns will be lower due to tenant issues ect.

Jay do you know Atlanta and what do you think about the above advice. They charge $5,000 for the service and say they make between 2 and 3% from Real Estate commission as well.

    Thanks,

    Jacob.
