Yes. We used them for just under 2 years in Perth to manage a property and our experience was a genuine nightmare.
From day one, their sales pitch promised professional, hassle-free management. The reality was months of total neglect and anxiety.
1. Our tenants were left with no air conditioning all summer despite repeated reports.
2. A smashed bathroom window was left unrepaired for nearly four months.
3. There were thousands of dollars in excess water bills due to leaks Certainty Property never fixed.
We were constantly left in the dark. Emails and calls were ignored while our tenants suffered basic living issues.
When we tried to leave, the handover was a mess. Their director, Simon, incorrectly demanded money and key documents were withheld from our new manager.
After my wife left an honest Google review, Simon called her immediately; not to apologize or take accountability, but to aggressively harass and intimidate her, threatening a lawsuit for defamation to force her to take the review down. Minutes later, a defamation notice and court summons arrived. This was genuinely distressing and unsettling.
It’s clear our story isn’t unique. Simon’s priority is silencing customers who dare to speak up, not fixing his company’s severe failures.
I’ve since found a Facebook support group with 45+ members (and growing) who have all been harmed by Simon and Certainty Property, reading absolute horror stories.
His 4.7-star Google rating is highly suspicious when you look at how many genuine 1-star reviews vanish while new 5-star reviews pop up.
This isn’t just bad business; it’s unethical behavior that shows a shocking disregard for tenants, landlords, and basic decency. AVOID Certainty Property and Simon at all costs.
Check out other review sites and the support group if you’re considering them. You deserve peace of mind, not stress and legal threats for telling the truth.
