Negative or neutral to slightly negative is a great way to invest as it’s not costing too much out of pocket but having all the advantages of capital growth which is what allows you to buy multiples against it. (having done your research and bought the right investment)
Personally, that’s all we focus on as it weighs up better for us that way.

The returns from a motel groups are usually ok, we’ve beeninvolved with a few, the returns may be ok but the I’m not sure how much growth you are expecting with that. If that’s your affodibility then it may be your best option, but if you can afford more than hat then it’s best looking at other options too.
If you decide to go for that one, APerry on this forum is a good operator in Melb and can finance that size units.

That’s a great thought for your kids, it would be nice when they are older and really appreciate you for it.
One way of looking at it is to get them identical properties so no issues occur, the fact is there are always issues that will occur either way, and I’m not sure how possible it is to find identical properties in your area ect..
My thoughts are to start investing yourself where you are likely to get great growth with minimal holding costs not necessarily in your area but anywhere that will provide you with financial freedom to be able to provide your children whatever you please in due course.

Investing in western Sydney was what we were doing 2 years ago, this doesn’t mean that you can’t get a good buy although you will be looking at a lot of outlay out of your pocket to service it, which can be ok if you can afford it and hold out for some growth, depending where & what you buy.
Now days we have been finding greater opportunities with potential growth and low holding costs on a variety of properties interstate, particularly in Qld & WA..

I’ll bring the Property Investor Guide along, also I may be able to get a good friend of ours and quite an experienced investor along to share his experiences in the field. Some of you may have met him before, in the last meeting in our office here in Gladesville.
The questions in a hat is not a bad idea, maybe we should start again with going around the room with everyone re-introducing themselves for any new people or some of us with bad memories and a brief on their name, what they do, where are they now with property investing and what they are trying to achieve.
As always conversations will just start and the time will fly before you know it, I’m just pity that I may have to leave at 5:30
I wonder if we can get a consensus on the numbers attending to get an idea?? Either way I think it will be great..

Well there are talks now of the government taking a chunk of the petrol taxes or even bigger tax breaks for small businesses that regulary use their vehicles, Although I can’t see it happening till another election comes up and use that a promotional campaign..
