  • foston replied to the topic MAKING MONEY vs MORALS in the forum General Property 19 years, 11 months ago

It would be a very sad world if no one had any morals, but i believe everyone knows in their own heart when to apply those morals depending on the situation.Where your hard earned money is concerned and you are buying a property at auction, the head should rule the heart and emotions and morals should be kept at a minimum. I have not been placed…[Read more]

I also watched it and i agree companies like this give the genuine wrappers a bad name.[angry2][thumbsdownanim I feel sorry [glum]for the family caught up in this as they only wanted what most Australian families want and that is a home to call their own, however from what i saw they signed contracts without getting them checked by their…[Read more]

    Hi Ginamarree,
I guess you’re right, we’ll just have to agree to disagree about Woodridge, i get a little carried away on this subject from time to time. I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to rubbish certain areas on this forum, it could just open up a can of worms.I would be quite happy to discuss this subject with you via PM if you…[Read more]

Isn’t it sad how most people tend to dwell on the negative aspects of a particular area and do not think of or mention the positive aspects, we are all guilty of this at some time.As i have said before all suburbs have their good and bad areas, i must have been lucky to have only lived in the better areas of Woodridge, but i also have lived in the…[Read more]

  • foston replied to the topic Conveyancing Costs – QLD in the forum Legal & Accounting 20 years ago

    Hi James,

Sounds quite high to me, we purchased in September 03 and solicitors costs were $450 + $340 for searches etc. At the time i thought this was reasonable, have since heard of Conveyancing works costs of $295, will be going there in future.

    Cheers

    G’Day Scott,
The title to our house is in my wife’s name only at the moment, we enquired about refinancing with our current lender and they want both names on the title if they take both incomes into consideration. The costs to us would have been solicitors fees of $385, this would vary of course depending on your solicitor, and stamp duty on half…[Read more]
