    Hi
Their are a number of mentors in the marketplace, what strategy are you interested in? mentoring costs generally run  at  5000 – 10000+, some specialise in development, renovation etc.

These forums are a good place to ask questions like recommendations for accountants etc

Mentors range from buyers agents, financial planners,  and mentoring programs such as the RESULTS program. If you search the net and these forums you will come across a range of mentoring programs and feedback on them

    Cheers & Good Luck

    Hi Tiffany

I too am a newbie. Books as named above are fantastic, do a search of the internet I found so much free info on the net. I have also attended a few free seminars – however have not splashed out dollarson the spruiking at the end. Having said that I believe that mentoring does have its place. I would suggest that you take some time – search the net, library, ebay & then you can make an informed decision regarding a mentor. I am about to join iclub, Im happy to outlay the $ for the additional info that may save me lots of $ in mistakes

    Good luck

    Hi KLZT

Welcome to the forums. Its great to see a young go getter on the forums. A good place to start is education, books from Margaret Lomas, Steve Mcknight and these forums are  a great place to start. You may want to consider some type of mentoring program to increase your knowledge ( your Dad might be an awesome mentor to have, most of us havent got that option!).  Have you done much research ?

What strategy are you interested in?

I think its fantastic that at a young age your thinking about your future ! As to whether your rushing it, Im unsure- have you done much research, got a plan/goal, what do want to get out of your investing – capital growthor cash flow?

    Cheers

    Good Luck

    Hi Luke
So do you thinks its value for money?  For me, I thought it was an affordable beginning as I wanted to join the RESULTS mentoring program, but Im still organising my finances and did not have the funds available
    Thanks

    Hi All
Im a newbie, and Im also looking for 10% + yields – I have spent the last few months reading and learning and am setting up my finances now. There are 10% yields out there – mining towns – Blackwater, Moranbah, Dysart & Middlemount to name a few. While I wouldnt  fill my property portfolio with them  I think that one to kick off to provide positive cash flow while I learn about applying creative solutions to maximise yields will suit me. I grew up in Blackwater, and Im looking at properties in Blackwater & Middlemount to kick off, theirs still plenty of years left of coal up there, but people need to do their own dd.

Im looking at properties and thinking about how I might implement/maximise the yields on a property and sorting out the type of strategies that would suit my husband & my own skill set!
