    I agree but we have one small edge or maybe not so small here in queensland and that is the lifestyle and you cant get it in Melbourne or sydney all year round after all the RE market at the moment is all about lifestyle and not just RE but also in other aspects of people’s lives people are sick of just living a life they want to live a paticular lifestyle thats where Queensland comes into it look around you where living in the age of “lifestyle”

    One thing you have to remember when buying your first ppor is how quickly will it increase in value in order to release equity to enable you to buy an ip so it is crucial that you do your homework first before you purchase In my opinion i would prefer to 30 klm’s out of brisbane in an up and coming subub and only be 100 metres from the waterfront for under $220k you have to ask yourself which property is going to be worth more in 10,15,20 years time the beach side house or the the other house in logan
    25klm’s+ from brisbane

    Terryw,could you please explain how an RE licence is handy and valuable if you dont work in the RE industry, how would it benefit an investor.Your
    comments would be appreciated.

    I’ve just got back from a driving trip from Melbourne to brisbane saw a half decsent house for $15000 central NSW only a short drive from a sizeable well known rural town,however population is only 1500.I thought that was extremely cheap for area.

    Feb 03 could of brought 1 acre huge double brick home centre of town 30 klms north of brisbane pop 4o,ooo plus cost then $220k cost now $375k may 02&1/2 acre property averege house 25klms north of brisbane $i85k then now $300k was renting at time could not get the money to buy SPEWING![xx(]
