OK thanks everyone for your advice. The agent has actually offered to list with other agents to try to get the place rented out so I might do this. I think the problem with the property at the moment is that the front is not fenced and it is a little exposed. I now have a few quotes to put a picket fence out the front so hopefully somebody will then rent it out.
I am asking $155 per week and two agents have both said that it should go for around $160 per week. What agent are you going through Marky Mark? I know the North side is a lot easier to rent at the moment due to the meat works starting up. Its only an extra 5 minutes to my place though!

    Yack,
I tend to agree, that the profits from this seminar are not as simple as you have outline. It does take preparation and time to organise one of these events. Possibly time that could be spent finding more property deals! I look forward to what the guys have to say tomorrow, but who knows, maybe it won’t be that great. I will let you know what I thought of it after the event.
The way I work out my cost is:
900 dollars for the seminar / 2 after I get my tax return = 450 dollars. And like somebody said earlier, if I learn only a few things that will help me get a deal in the future then I think it will be 450 dollars well spent.

    Hi folks,
I’ll be there as well. I hope to get a lot out of tomorrow. It will be great to hear from the experts on how to buy +ve casflow property in today’s market. Dave (steve’s partner) said that they will be presenting case studies of some recent deals in the paper (last week) so the properties must still be out there if you are willing to look hard enough. It will be great to meet those who are going.[:)] Apparently there is about 120 people all up so its not too large to get lost in the crowd!
    Ben.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks everybody for your opinions/feedback. I will be researching hard before the seminar to make the most of it. Marky Mark, sounds like you got a bit out of it. Did it help you in your property purchases?? The way I see it is if I get just a few ideas out of it and act on them, then I will get the money back in my future investments.
Surely some of you other people have gone to Steve’s seminar, anyone else have anything to say??

This is good to know guys,
Thanks for the info, ill look into it.
I am in the same situation, where I will be settling on a block of land in a few months and plan to sit on it for a year or so before building to see what happens around me (new estate). This would means some big tax savings!!
