My wife called in a phone order at the local “Fish and CHips”, as we left Pinky said to me “oh get a Pickled Onion, and tell (my eldest)
as she was coming with me.. and I would forget !”So I told my eldest, “remember” we need a pickled onion… all the way down there she was practising how to ask for the extra onion… “sorry mum forgot to order a pickled onion”..”Can you please add a pickled onion to the order”.. etc…
We got there, and she walked in with confidence… “Hi, Can you please add 1 pickled onion to the phone order”… i was impressed… Con, the guy from the Fish and Chip shop, replied “You of course you may, in fact I will give you 2 for the price of 1!”.. she was wrapped!, and thanked the man.
All the way home and explaining what happened to Pinky.. it was “because I asked so nice, I got you an extra pickled onion for free!.., I like that man that works in that shop!”.. she was very proud of herself. [
