I called the council and they said we can build property at the back but make sure the drive way access to back property is 3 metre wide. I find this hard, I think the drive way that wide enough for the car driven through. Don’t know why they require 3 metre wide.

I am a new comer. I am looking to buy a proper in Oakleigh 568m2, it has a spacious backyard (the backyard is about the same length of the font building). I am planning to build a 3 bedrooms townhouse at the back in future. I am not sure whether Monash Council Building Planner can tell me whether I can build?
