Hi guys,By clicking the Active Topics "More Topics" link [link removed as it is outdated] it will show all topics sorted by the last post date. If you want to sort by topic creation date, simply click the row heading "Created" twice. I'm not sure which is the preferred option, or if we should just make a seperate page for both sort methods.Maybe we should take a vote? – David

    Hi Guys,

The post count problem has been fixed and we are working on implementing an equivalent to the old "New Posts" system.

Lisa, you can search the forums (and the rest of the site) by using the search box at the top right of every page. This will take you to the search results page where you can also redefine your search parameters to help you even further.

The upgrade was a major platform transition, the next one will be focused more on design, functionality and usability . Please bear with us as we iron out the bugs.

Any comments/suggestions you have in the mean time are very welcome.

    – David

Hi and thanks for your posts.

We are in the process of setting up a unique website for RESULTS participants and migrating the off this forum.

In the meantime, you can collapse the forum from the main view, but we do not have a way of removing RESULTS forum topics from the active list at this time.

GR – if you are having trouble collapsing the forum then please call Brent in the office on 03 8892 3800 during business hours.

    G’day,

Things generally slow down on the forum during the Xmas / New Year period as regulars go on holidays and/or have family time rather than surfing at work.

I agree that the site is running slower than before, but that is more to do with the platform (asp) which is a larger fix that we’ll tackle in 2006. I’m not sure why the font size remains small for some, but I suggest that if this is the case then you reset your cache (Tools ->Options->Delete Temporary Files) and things should improve.

Points about the community impact of the RESULTS forum being first are taken on board and we’ll see what else can be done on that front. We have a Chat area that will be launched soon and some more functionality coming in the months ahead.

    Regards,

    – Admin[strum]

    Hi,

Just to stress a point… this forum board is not an open slather ‘say whatever you like under the guise of freedom of speech’.

Nope – this is a moderated forum where every effort is taken to keep posts on track and without defamatory or slanderous comments. Accordingly, from time to time we edit, remove or lock posts (we do the same to members too).

Much like an public meeting, if a post is out of line then the chair (in this case the moderators) are duty bound to act quickly to keep the discussion ticking along. Having said that… being a moderator is often about determining shades of grey rather than deciding black or white issues. Their involvement is both appreciated and necessary to protect the integrity of this resource.

    Hi,

Just to clarify – the link mentioned was, we believe, a Google Adwords link.

We have some limited control over what comes out, but it is derived from the Google database.

PropertyInvesting.com and Steve McKnight are in no way affiliated with any Google Ad links that may be displayed on this site from time to time.

    Hi,

As this matter is before the courts it would seem inappropriate to speculate or draw judgement in a premature fashion. Accordingly, this topic has been locked for the time being… should you wish to comment then direct your concerns to either the ASIC or Mr. McIntyre.

While not supporting or otherwise, in this country it is normal to presume innocence until otherwise proven.

    Hi BJ,

Sadly, at this point, not in 2005… the schedule for the second half of the year is too tight.

Dave will be spending time OS (investing) and Steve has various new ideas he is working on (including a revamp of this site).

Given that Sydney is still many months away, perhaps you could get a cheap airfare so the cost would not be too much more.

With that said, I have locked this topic.

If you have anything to say to Mr. Jenman then you may email him direct at [email protected]

    Hi,

From when you receive it in the mail (which, for most people, is deemed to be 2 business days after you ordered).

    Hi,

Make sure you have entered in a property (Control & N to start the wizard) and then, based on the variables you input, the loan is calculated for you.

    Hi,

A draft updated version is on Steve’s desk right now for his review and approval.

As such, it will take about another 1 1/2 months to get it to completion phase.

    Hi,

If you have ready Book #1, then I recommend FT2.

If you are new to investing all together, then FT is a good, albeit basic, introduction about how Steve and Dave got started.

    Hope this has helped.
