    Hello,
    I think as long as your rental’s are treated acordding to their standard mouldly cold damp homes are just looking for troublesome students however you look after your property and fix what needs to be fixed with little fuss then you will find good people to care as you do for your investment. I think most students down here rent properties on a 1 year term.

    I think both Islands have alot to offer investors and that in the end it’s all down to personal choice…..but if your thinking about investing in the south check out my partner and mother in laws web site http://www.bevstewart.co.nz …..it may be of some help…..

    if your looking in New Zealand check out first nationals web-site I think they have commercial building etc…if not why not e-mail them…..
    or try http://www.bevstewart.co.nz I know she doesn’t deal with commercial but sure she could recommend someone who does….

    most investors buy here through photos via the net and email most of our overseas investors buy sight unseen…..returns are anywhere from 5.5% to 9.5% depending on the sort of property you want to invest in.
