    I am new to this and wanted to ask a question. We are considering transferring my PPOR property from me to my domestic partner under love and affection in Victoria so no stamp duty is payable. The mortgage is 300k, the prop valuer is probably coming in around 900k. Can my partner mortgage it at $700k and claim the interest on the $720k as it will be an investment prop – it is currently rented. thanks
