I'm guessing the moderators won't like this one, and neither will a large part of the readers, but I'd still appreciate consideration –

Sharing an authentic request for help from our friends in the Dominican Republic – these guys are living on their passive incomes, travelling the world, and giving you a chance to know exactly where your aid money goes, for a change, and with no overheads – they're there, putting your money directly into action.

Yes, we know this to be the case based on personal acquaintance, helped them in Peru last time, and hope you'll be able to do the same this time.

http://www.helpthirdworld.org (before you start scoffing at the website address like I did, I'll let you know that Tal's passive incomes comes mostly from his internet businesses, of which he's an undisputed master – I'm just guessing but this particular URL is probably serving his purpose very well)

Maybe it's just me, but this makes me much prouder than any cashflow, equity etc in the bank. :)))

That's great stuff Ziv.  It's easy to take for granted what we have and be ignorant to the plight of others,  If people took time to consider those less fortunate and give a little bit of support back to others we could make massive differences to people lives who really need it.  But it is important to do DD on the organisations you support to make sure your money is getting through and not just getting eaten up by admin and marketing costs.

Go as far as you can see and you will see further.

Absolutely – that's why I always jump at the chance to help Tal – I KNOW he's for real (known him personally for just under a decade now), and not some obscure entity on the net – he's also small and nimble, as opposed to Red Cross, etc, so zero waste on admin fees etc – your money goes straight where it's needed. Win-win-win :)))
