Sub-dividing property in victoria

Hi people,
              I am looking to buy my first investement property with a block big enough to sub divide. i am wanting to keep the original house on the block and sub divide the back. I have been doing some reasearch and in w.a they have a table called the r-codes which lists the averge size and min size of land you need to be able to sub divide. Is there an equivlant table for victoria and if so where can i find it.
